We were delighted with our stay in this retro faclitily. Given its motel-like appearance, we weren’t sure what to expect. Our room had all the services we needed, a comfortable bed, microwave and fridge, clean bathroom with shower. Breakfast was a nice surprise with multiple hot and cold options. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Kittery Inn and Suites has all you need for a quiet, comfortable stay. Close proximity to Kittery and Portsmouth. The suite was clean, comfortable and had all we needed for an enjoyable stay. It is situated up on a little hill away from traffic noise with natural landscaping all around you. The breakfast was better than any place I have stayed before! Healthy choices and included home cooked options.

Overall, pleasant experience. Some cons being AC, turn down service, and bed comfort. The AC didn’t work which normally would be fine in fall but it was stuffy in the room when we arrived and even with the windows open it took hours to cool down and at night had to keep them open. The coffee station only had instant coffee and there was no turn down service. I saw that our trash was taken out but nothing else was cleaned and the bed wasn’t made. The bed was caved into the middle and made me miss my bed. I still ended up giving high scores because of location, price, friendly staff, and ease. I was greeted by Abby and she was very helpful with things to do and getting our room ready earlier. Check in and check out was a breeze and the location was perfect for a wide variety of interests. Overall would come back if the ac and turn up service is fixed.

My daughter, grandson and I wanted an overnight getaway after a long, busy summer season. (We both work at a summer camp) We both have a tight budget so the pricing for the room was within our reach. I had my fingers crossed. As the saying goes “You get what you pay for” so I wasn’t expecting what we found. You can see and feel the pride that the new ownership has in their property. Our room was beautifully remodeled. Breakfast was far above the normal motel fare and to top it all off, my grandson and I took a lovely morning dip in a very well kept pool. Thank you for making this quick trip to Maine I such a pleasant experience.

We were very please with our stay. Blessing to have our own cottage. Breakfast was amazing, best continental we have ever had. If we travel through here again, we will stay here with our family. We highly recommend staying here. Easy access to town.

There was no individual heat control in the room. We were instructed to “just open the windows” if it got too warm. We did, which exposed us to two torturous nights of road noise from nearby I-95. The mattress was in poor condition and pillows were of very poor quality. For some reason they do not make the beds with a top sheet- using a duvet cover instead. No idea why but that certainly didn’t help the problem with the heat. We had to get up in the middle of the night to re-make the bed with a sheet we were told was in a drawer.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

It is absurd that the room temperature (Room 5) cannot be lowered by means other than opening a window. Opening a window helped some but exposed us to sleepless nights of road noise from I-95. The mattress was awful. The pillows were of very poor quality. I don’t understand why you don’t simply make the bed with a top sheet. Because it was so uncomfortably hot, I had to get up in the middle of the night and see-make the bed with a sheet from the dresser.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

Individual temperature control. New mattress and pillows. Make the beds properly.

We wee so happy with our long weekend stay at Kittery Inn and Suites. It is exceptionally clean with very comfortable beds and super clean blankets and duvet covers. The breakfast was lovely with fresh raspberries and blueberries , cheese ,ham, potatoes , fresh baked fruit loaves every morning, juice coffee and more. We were going to a wedding in Portsmouth and it was so close by and the outlets couldn’t have been better situated as well. It is a great place to stay.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

I love staying here. I’m from MA and whenever I’m in Portsmouth this is my preferred place to stay. The only thing that I have to suggest is getting better quality toilet paper, tissues, and towels. They are so hard and harsh on the skin. I find them very uncomfortable. However, other than that I love this place. Thanks for another great stay!

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

Nicer toilet paper, tissues, towels.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

we were in cabin #22, the bed sagged in the middle - could have been more comfortable… had we not been exhausted when we arrived we may not have fallen asleep as easy - this is only real improvement I could recommend

we nonetheless had a very nice stay, it was our first - but won’t be our last, we will plan on returning
