Currently residents of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and now Massachusetts are allowed to stay in Maine hotels without any restrictions or the need to self-certify that they are in compliance with travel restrictions.
Residents of other states must sign a simple “Certificate of Compliance” prior to check in at a Maine hotel. This is a standard form that was created by the state of Maine. It is a self-certification form and you are taken at your word. The form will be provided to you in paper or electronic form prior to your arrival or at check in. You can review the form here.
