We very much enjoyed our stay at the Kittery Inn.This is a charming, updated, very well maintained and staffed motel, easily accessible 50's era motel located just a couple miles north of Portsmouth NH. Our room was clean and well appointed. The bed was great for us (soft but firm...no sore back in the morning). We very much enjoyed talking with the staff, who were friendly and helpful. At staff's suggestion we even tried the soft drink Moxie, which is a Maine classic, and liked it! As first time vacationers to Maine, we are thankful for the staff suggestions which were very helpful. I would recommend the Kittery Inn to anyone needing clean affordable lodging in southern Maine.
Pros: Clean, well maintained classic motel. Good hosts.
Location: Near the coast. We found Kittery a great starting point for drives up the coast. Plenty of restaurants nearby or in Portsmouth just a few miles south.
